So I realized last year that one of the coolest things about watching the fireworks in the Nation's Capitol is not the fireworks themselves, but rather watching the people watch the fireworks.  The awe and excitement that they bring about in people is just awesome.  The kids love em and you can almost see the patriotism on the adult faces.

Its weird how in other countries bombs and explosions induce fear, but in our country we use them to celebrate our Nation's Birthday.  Just some food for thought.

Hmmmm... A lot has happened in the last year.  Too much to describe, so let me just look forward.  I can't believe this year is already half over!  I've got so much yet to do this year and want to take some sort of vacation.  I'm thinking I should take a fall trip to somewhere in Europe, but with the USD being so week right now, I'm not sure how well that would work.  I think I need just a few weeks to myself, with no interruptions, nobody bothering me, and no electronics.  Enough for now, here are just a few quotes I wanted to note:
