Writing to you from Ubuntu

So....Finally I got Ubuntu to work on my desktop.  I've had it running on my laptop for months now, but no version seemed to want to boot on my desktop, in fact the only flavor of Linux I could get working on my desktop was SuSe.  I'm thinking that the fact that I've used the latest version had something to do with it, I've installed 7.04 Herd 5, just released yesterday, and so far so good.  Got bittorrent working, I'm able to watch videos, listen to music, and even got dual monitors working.  And surprisingly enough I've gotten my printer and scanner to work.  All in all I'm pretty sure I could get used to this Linux thing if it does everything my Windows install did.

On another note, I've been using Windows Vista for the past few weeks on my desktop, and I love it.  Great stability, great usefulness, just great all around, I've just been wanting to try Linux for a while, by no means will I actually ditch Vista.
