OMG...Northwest Again

So I thought today was gonna be the day Northwest might actually do something right.  We actually took off from Omaha 15 minutes early and landed in Detroit a little early...But then Northwest style kicked in.  We sat, without explanation, about 30 feet from the gate for about 10 minutes, which then we would have been on time, but then we pulled up to the gate and waited another 20 minutes, because there was no gate agent to open the freaking plane door.  So alas, I started to run across the airport to make my next connection, because the initial signs I saw said it was on time

Northwest Airlines Does it Again...Sucks!!!

So I flew to Nebraska this weekend and Northwest happen to have the best schedule at the right price, I went against my gut instinct and took the dive to go Northwest, even though they have an 0 for 4 track record with me.  That is out of four flights, 0 have been on time, and the only time I have ever checked luggage, they lost it.  And today is no different, my flight left home on time, but due to mechanical issues (Reasons my past flights were delayed, gives you lots of confidence when flying :( ) at the gate we were late into the gate, and I only had 30 minutes to run across the

Freaking Maryland

So what's with an entire region shutting down with just a few inches of snow.  I mean I can understand a 2 or 3 hour late start or something, but seriously, it was slush.  I went to the eye doctor today to get my prescription, but alas, they were "Closed due to weather".  Now if my summer only tires can get me around, then there is no need to close due to weather.  In Nebraska there would have to be at least 8 inches of snow for much of anything to happen, and then there's upstate New York where kids go to school in 5 FEET of snow.

Regina Spektor

So a friend introduced me to, sort of, Regina Spektor, and wow, I love it.  I especially love her songs, Buildings, On The Radio, and Fidelity.  The following lyrics are from On the Radio:

No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
