Why is Google So Scared?

With all these talk about Microsoft offering to buy Yahoo, I just have one question...Why is Google so scared?  From their post on their official blog:

Writing to you from Ubuntu

So....Finally I got Ubuntu to work on my desktop.  I've had it running on my laptop for months now, but no version seemed to want to boot on my desktop, in fact the only flavor of Linux I could get working on my desktop was SuSe.  I'm thinking that the fact that I've used the latest version had something to do with it, I've installed 7.04 Herd 5, just released yesterday, and so far so good.  Got bittorrent working, I'm able to watch videos, listen to music, and even got dual monitors working.  And surprisingly enough I've gotten my printer and scanner to work.  All in

So this whole "YouTube" thing

Well, I knew "web 2.0" was here when my mom sent me a link to a youtube video from her account.  I didn't even have a youtube account, so I decided to hop on the bandwagon, and expand my number of "web 2.0" sites that I use on a regular basis.  I even actually uploaded some of my own videos:
